Yesterday on the show we talked about the season openers of the IWFl as well as discussed one of the games that hit very close to home. Our very own producer Robin Grove, who currently plays for the Sacramento Sirens, talked in particular about the officiating or should I say lack of some of the officiating. It was agreed that things were even on a certain level, but when the safety of a player is at risk that is when heads should not be turning away.
We also discussed where the crew will be next week for the NWFA season openers. Meg, who is located in Pearland, TX will be attending the home opener of the H’Town Texas Cyclones vs the Austin Outlaws and Beebe, Nancy and myself will be attending the Modesto Magic home opener against the Arizona Wildfire.
Robin, along with the Sacramento Sirens will be battling with the Seattle Majestics which should prove to be a very competitive game, since these teams normally meet only during the playoff season. This will be a good battle to hear about on Sunday’s show, along with interviews with the Modesto Magic, Arizona WildFire, Austin Outlaws and the H’Town Texas Cyclones. We will see if they can call in during the live show as well as some pre-records for the traveling teams.
I received this press release from the Modesto Magic this morning. We will have the privilege to be among both WFB Talk friends and cheer on the Magic as well as the WildFire in this exciting “Magic” Inaugural game.
